PfSense DHCP question

Hello all just got a Netgate 6100 . I want to make sure I am understanding how DHCP works on the 6100.

So I get the WAN IP address from ISP and than on Lan1 port it has DCHP. So my question is in order to get different DHCP services you have to setup VLANS if I am understanding this correct because other wise all the Lan port will use just one DHCP server correct ?

A DHCP server is created for each subnet you create and assign to an interface VLAN or physical.
