2.7.2 has been rock solid an there is no feature in 2.8.0 that I have been waiting for. I’ll wait for .1

Love the comment on IPv6. Yes since 1999 we have been hearing how IPv6 needs to replace IPv4. Well we are now 25 years into the transition and still only seeing about 50% adoption. And this is invisible to most because it’s the cell networks that are IPv6 and then use other mechanisms to get to IPv4 only services.

As for home/work networks it’s a nightmare. First off ask you ISP about prefix delegation and you will get that 30 seconds of awkward silence and then state what is that. All the major ISP’s have such varying policies its a wonder they even state they support it. The issue is impact to networks that have multiple routes or failover routes to the internet. Who’s IPv6 address space would be applied to your VLAN’s? Shame it’s falling into a datacenter and back end carrier soliton because of so many short sighted decisions.
