pfSense 24.11 ETA

Hoping to snag @LTS_Tom on this one, so he can leverage some connections at Netgate (hope, hope).

@LTS_Tom back in January 2024, I opened this bug (Kea will not start with identical MAC address filters on multiple interfaces) … well, it took some time, but they were finally able to get the bug resolved (hooray) … the ticket states the release for this fix is pfSense-Plus_24.11 … currently, I’m running 24.03, which my dashboard reports as the current (stable) version.

I have asked TAC Support several times on what a possible ETA is for this, as it’s a major problem for me, but they never reply or say they will “look into” and nothing ever happens.

Can you help? I’ve been waiting almost a year to go back to KeaDHCP but all I get is crickets from Netgate — do you know a guy, who knows a guy, who has a friend that can please tell me what a possible ETA is?

If its like July 2025, that fine (well, its not, but whatever) – I can wait – I just want to know. As a “stop-gap” (for almost a year) my idea was to pivot over to PiHole for DHCP and DNS, but it’s a really awful solution and I’m desperate to switch back to pfSense doing it all.

PLEASE HELP

Based on what I’m seeing the release is scheduled for November 2024

It looks like the bugs have been addressed.

Wow. I feel silly for not seeing that tab, or knowing to click it. Additionally, I wonder why the TAC support just didn’t point me there?

Based on previous release cadences from BETA->RC->GA, any idea if we’ll be getting to GA in November too?

No reason to feel silly. I spend too much time on the Netgate pfSense forums. They announced the 24.03 beta on March 21, 2024. The RC was announced on April 10, 2024 and the production release was announced on April 23,2024.
Maybe this is a goof harbinger for the full production release being out soon.
