PEX for routing and pulling wire in a SMB or SOHO situation

I’m curious if anyone here has utilized PEX plumbing for routing wire drops, if so could you share any experiences or photos?

Its an idea i’ve been floating for years but never had any opportunity to try, I know PEX can be a real pain to deal with at times (its hard to unroll when its cold). I’ve been internally debating the pro’s and cons of traditional PVC routing versus PEX for wire drops, it seems like there would be potential for lower cost deployment.

The ideal scenarios would be home renovations, new home builds or small businesses IMO.

You’d need to check local codes, around here this would not be allowed, even for low voltage cables like ethernet. Just like you can’t use the tan water CPVC for electrical work, even though it is mostly the same as the gray CPVC. They made codes and you’re going to follow them, even though they make no sense!

Let’s not get started on fiber buffer tube.

I will do some digging but i’m in area thats very rural and not incorporated into any formal local government. A lot of things that shouldn’t be done (because its dangerous, sloppy or a bad idea) happen out here due to lack of enforcement and contractor accountability but it also allows some flexibility too.
