I’m running OpenVPN server in pFsense on my LAN, and I can connect to it remotely without an issue. The problem is that, once connected remotely to my LAN, and I try to connect to a pc that I normally have access to, it just times out- no dice.
Do you think the windows firewall is stopping me, or I’m unrecognized because I’m coming into the network on a different IPaddress (from the OpenVPN server) than when I’m connecting locally and the pFsense DHCP server is handing me an IPaddress?
Thanks Tom, yep, seemingly all good on the OpenVPN settings, though n.b. that video is now a bit outdated (not much, but maybe due for an update sometime in the near future as pFsense continues to make changes in their server setup options).
Meanwhile, I guess I’ll need to troubleshoot the various Windows firewall settings to determine where and how to modify either the Domain Network, Private Network, or Public Network settings to allow me to connect to a pc on my LAN from an OpenVPN subnet. Any advice here would be welcomed.
Update- so now I’ve tried turning all three Windows firewall settings off (Domain, Private, and Public), and I’m still getting ‘Err_Connection_Refused’ while connected to my LAN via OpenVPN?
