So I have inherited a non working wifi setup.
AT this point I have installed the latest controller and updated the AP’s.
The AP’s have domain IP’s. wifi clients can connect to the AP’s and get a DHCP IP from my DHCP server. However they still can not access the internet.
My setup does not include the usg. I’m doing my own DHCP server.
Thoughts?

A USG is not required for DHCP to work. I would suggest doing a reset of all AP’s and starting from scratch.
I tried that yesterday and am in teh same boat… 
If I’m getting an IP at the client…what could be possibly blocking the internet access?
Check the switch and firewall configurations.
In your DHCP server what is the gateway set to? A sketch or technical details would be helpful.
