Network issues - Local PC website issues and PfSense Gateways

Hello!

My Pfsense system has been running well for some time, but within the last week, I noticed that my WAN_DHCP Gateway is showing as Offline, Packet loss (had not indicated that prior), and WAN_DHCP6 Gateway is indicating Unknown.

Not sure if related but within the last week, I have also had a hard time accessing two specific websites (both financial), and when I do I get an error of “The specified URL cannot be found”. Basically I am unsure if it is a setting on my PC, the VPN is causing issues (using SurfShark, but also using on my mobile and I can access the site on that), or if it is my Gateway (or the WAN_DHCP issue is its own thing.

The WAN showing down is based on the ability for the WAN to ping the default gateway unless change it under System → Routing → Gateways “Monitor IP”

I appreciate that!

That was an easy enough fix, in the process I found out my pfBlockerNG is not functioning (error message about MaxMind subscription needing information even though the username and product key is in there, I need to dig into that further). I think the MaxMind subscription issue is causing the pfb_dnsbl service to not run, and DNSBL to not be functioning. I would not be surprised if that is also the root of the recent influx of cloudflare “prove you are human” requests.
