Netgate Releases RC of pfSense Plus Software Version 24.03

Will be rolling it onto a spare XG230 Rev2 I have. Just had a license moved, but now wondering if I should have moved the plus license from the XG125 Rev 3 to the XG230 Rev2. It’s been moved to a XG135 Rev3 which has a better Atom CPU. Intel(R) Atom™ CPU C3558 @ 2.20GHz vs Intel(R) Atom™ CPU C3508 @ 1.60GHz, both support QAT. However I think the i3-6100T I have in the XG230 Rev 2 supports other Intel extensions.

Do you have a paid ce plus license ?

If not i believe you have to use the standard ce license, as this is a mjor release.

Free CE Plus license was only valid on 23.x

Yes I do.l. Just moved to the XG135 and the XG230 has one expiring in July.

I can just put it through company as project and write tax off

About 10w difference between the XG135 and XG230, but with UK prices don’t want to waste ££.

The XG230 R2 has a 10GB card not used at mo as it pulls power up to 50w
