Hello, for past few months, the NextDNS has been slow on my desktop as well as on my mobile devices. Most of the websites work fine sometimes, but other website like YouTube, Steam, Giphy, Instagram etc. these have been really slow to load for months now.
I have tested with and without NextDNS, and they load properly without the custom NextDNS config 
I have gone through these Guidelines as well.

(10th June): the slow loading is back, this time I don’t have more than 2 filters in my blocklists, unfortunately IDK what’s causing it, tested without NextDNS and everything loads properly like nothing happened.
I have already posted this on NextDNS community forum as well, but I haven’t found any solution besides disabling NextDNS for Desktop.
Would love some help in this matter as i am not that good at networking stuffs.
What could be happening is if you are blocking ads and the pages is dependent on it. The pages is loading slower because it’s waiting for the ad to load cause the site to timeout first before loading other elements.
Could be one of the reasons, but this can happen for other websites but not steam.
Steam doesn’t have many ads on their website or steam client, but they always load pretty slow and sometimes just timeout because of it.
What could be the reason for that?
It could be that nextDNS is slow to respond to queries. There are lots reasons why DNS is slow or can cause issues. If you are saying that NextDNS isn’t performing well and switching fixes the issue then it sounds like you have a choice to take a network performance hit and keep it or find a different DNS provider.
Currently, i am a paid user at NextDNS so till then i will be using it on my mobile devices only.
Once, i find a better alternative will try to switch to it.

It sounds like you are using NextDNS as your DNS servers. Is there a way to point your local DNS server to NextDNS servers as their upstream that way you can take advantage of caching and seeing if that would help?
I am using YogaDNS on Windows for NextDNS, no router level DNS changes, so I don’t know much about local DNS server.
how do i try that and test it?
I am suggesting pointing your router DNS to NextDNS servers and you simply point your Windows DNS to your router IP seeing of that would help. Maybe try not using yoga DNS on windows and seeing if that helps.
Okay I tried this, and It’s still loading steam page really slow, but when i don’t use nextDNS
the DNS Server Addresses it provides in the setup, everything loads quickly.
Tested this twice with browser cache cleaned as well.
I don’t know what’s causing this.
maybe try opening your browser dev tools (F12) reload steam and see if anything gets blocked or not load correctly. So either NextDNS is slow or something is not loading properly when you hit the page. Can you whitelist the problematic website from your NextDNS console?
Actually I tried something else as well, instead of using NextDNS server addresses on router i added it directly to windows network panel, the pages load much quickly now with NextDNS.
A little bit odd to see it work like that 
It is a little odd if you actually had your NextDNS servers in the router as its DNS servers and then had your windows host DNS settings pointing to your router IP.
You know what just to be sure, I will flush the DNS on Windows and try this again

Tested, page is still slow
only thing which was blocked on steam page, checked NextDNS logs as well and they don’t have any links which are being blocked by it.
Actually it looks like they are blocking some elements on the steam CDN (steambroadcast.*). Also, can you do a continuous ping to your router IP? It should be sub 1 ms replies, if not that may be a networking issue on your network (I doubt it) but worth checking.
Pings are normal most of it is 1ms, I tried everything, but nothing else worked, so went back to the setup which works with NextDNS.

Does NextDNS not provide any support? You said earlier you paid for it. Community forums don’t count in this instance.

No they don’t provide direct support, it’s their NextDNS Subreddit or community posts that’s all
