Multiple Coax to Ethernet

Hey @LTS_Tom,
Great to see you at MSPGeekCon earlier this year. Thanks as always for your contributions to the community.
I’m going to see how good your memory is.
I remember watching a video probably 5-7 years ago where you were comparing different NVR options for SMEs.
I think it might have been with Kyle. You were demonstrating a coax to ethernet converter. It was for a client who owned a bar and wanted to increase the number of coax cameras but the NVR was maxed out in terms of available coax sockets.
I filed it away under ‘nice but no need’ in the grey cells. Up until now, I haven’t had the need but I have a client who just got a second NVR installed because he wanted 3 new cameras. They are coax (of course) and I think it’s a waste if there’s another option available.
I did a search through your past videos but couldn’t find it.
It would be great if you could remember but no worries if you can’t…it was a while ago!
I hope you are keeping well.

Thanks,
Niall

MSPGeek was a great time!
As for the video, I don’t even think that converter box is being made anymore. If the cameras are that old it’s time to replace them.

Ha!
If only
I guess I’ll leave them running with the 2 nvrs (segmented and firewalled off…of course).
Thanks for coming back to me.
Have a great weekend.
