Multi Family Networking

Hello, I had two quick questions. I am looking into planing a new multi family building. It hasn’t been built yet and there will be 2 buildings near by each other.

My question is when planning this project for networking and WIFI should I just plan for an IDF per floor and run a fiber cable to the basement to the MDF?

Also, for connecting the two buildings together for the core network… it WOULD be better to just run an underground fiber between buildings or what would you all recommend?

Multiple IDF or MDF depends on distance and how many runs. If there are many runs per floor or they are far away then install an IDF per floor. Yes on fiber between the buildings.
