Missing options in self hosted unifi?

Hi, have a unifi controller (running on arm64 in multi site mode) and trying to setup webhook notifications to my gotify server, but i am missing all the options for this, no where to setup notifications (apart from email), is this a limitation of the self hosted controller plz?

You have to be running the self hosted and newer UniFi OS, not just the UniFI application.

thanks tom, been reading around, bit confused..

  1. i first make a backup of my self hosted multisite controller

  2. uninstall the current controller (installed via deb package)

  3. download the unifi os server arm64 package and install using “./downlaodedfilename install”

  4. open unifi os webui and restore from backup - (all managed sites are remote sites)

Already running docker on the same host (for other non unifi services), will this work, as i think unifi os server installs podman and sets itself up as a podman container (unlike the current locally installed unifi network application server)?

Backup / restore should work but I have note testing it if will play nice with other services like docker on the same host as I always dedicate a VM to UniFi system.

podman and docker on same host … yuck

turned out simpler to follow technotims unpollar/prometheus/grafana docker script and setup webhooks in grafana to gotify

PS and having the single pane of glass of detailed metrics across multiple remote sites a big bonus!

Just be aware Ubiquiti has stated that there will come a day when the old self-hosted deployment will no longer be available so they can focus on developing only with Unifi OS dependencies. No date for that announced yet.

decided to fire up a new vm temporarily and install podman and slowly migrate all my dockers runs over to podman, nice and easy

once done will remove docker of the current vm running unifi network controller and “update” it to unifi os then move the podman containers back from the temp vm

no rush as like u said, unifi still hasn’t even given a hint of eol of the old controller

That date now if you’re in EA, or coming fast if you’re in the RC or Official channels.

The current v10.1.x Network Application builds (still in Early Access with v10.1.68 being the latest release, as of today) now require UniFi OS for self-hosting on all platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS). Stand-alone Network Application installers are not available.
