Caught the tail end, all my Mikrotik are behind firewalls and I think all of mine have been booted in SwOS mode so I think I’m safe. Need to check my lab and make sure, but I know production is SwOS. It just boots faster and as a top of rack, I didn’t really need the routing features, it was more about the number of 10g ports, CRS326-24s+2q+ and or CRS309-1g-8s+in.

Let’s be blunt, anyone in a business setting who exposes the WAN and/or doesn’t lock down the management interface internally on any firewall is just a load of crap at IT (or a lazy or greedy arse if not):rofl::rofl:

are they that strict on account setup now, the only people who get my real DOB, name etc … are gov’s/banks etc?

got plenty of google accounts set up with random DOB’s made up names and temporary sip numbers, closed straight away afterwards

if you can’t use them … abuse them

Not to go off topic but, if they allow me to choose 1900 as my birth year, that’s what I’m choosing. Typically Jan 1 1900.

And TextNow for alternative phone numbers, handy service that I have paid for in the past. Just know that almost all of the numbers they have to give, have been used for this, so you get a lot of spam calls, more than most “regular” numbers.
