Lithium battery UPS? Concerns?

I need to get a couple new UPS at work, and I’m wondering if anyone has experience with the Lithium battery based units?

Fire risk has kept me away from these, as well as initial cost, but companies are claiming 8 to 10 year lifespan which is about 2.5 to 3 times lead based batteries. They are also claiming a lower risk than cell phone batteries do to chemistry and the number of protection circuits in each device.

LiFePO4 batteries are much safer than other lithium ion battery chemistries. I have had a pair of LiFePO4 based power stations (EcoFlow Delta 2) in the house here for about a year, and they have been fine.

I have been using these https://www.xpcc.com/products/p91li-1-3kva/ for a few years now and I have some APC units that have also held up well. Both are very well built and I don’t worry much about a thermal runaway event.

Going to have to look around a bit more. I’ve been buying APC 2200va with an extra battery to double the run time (no generator). XPCC doesn’t have any Lithium that offer an extra battery for longer run time and I don’t really need to step into a 10,000va device. Power goes out often enough that I need to make sure I have about an hour per UPS with the load I put on them.
