Is UniFi gear always slow to restock?

I’m in the EU, so this might be different to US.

I’m new to UniFi, only got their hardware in the past couple of months really.

I just missed out on USW-Pro-HD-24-PoE (600W) when it was available last month. I’ve been waiting since. How long does it take to restock normally?

I managed to order a couple of U7 Pro APs but they have been out of stock since then too.

I’ve since ordered a bunch of their cameras and doorbells but know I’m kind of stuck as I don’t have the switch to power them all (and the APs)

I’ve hooked up the APs to an old TP-Link switch with1GbE 802.3af (PoE) to get them adopted to the UDM Pro Max, although they require 802.3at (PoE+) officially.

Waiting for stock kind of sucks, would expect a large company like this to have better stock management.

Anyway, what is your experience with out of stock?

Depends what it is. Some items they restock quickly. Some it seems like it takes forever. However I’ve found many items you can pick up through other vendors. That POE adapter should be one of those. Back when I used them, I picked them up at my local Microcenter (a local PC shop in the US).

Have you considered switching to a different POE switch?

No, just waited and have got what I wanted now. Arrived about 12 days ago.
