Looking to setup two Netgate appliances. Would like them in Failover or HA. Probably prefer just Failover.
Two Fiber DIA circuits. Both include /30 and a /29.
Is it possible? Attached picture for reference.

Per the link/article. Looks like I need a switch. But also, it kinda shows that the only way it will work is somehow making the /30 a /29 then using the /29 as normal. Not sure how that would work. I’ve never been given a /29 as a router address before. Unless pfsense is stating I need another router for just the /30. But at that point, it makes the high availability literally useless, as if that router dies, then no traffic will reach either of the two devices.

I am confused. Why are they giving you 2 blocks on each ISP? Why not give you a single block of /28 or something?
Cogent & AT&T both have give me a /30 for my firewall to connect.
Then I get a /29 from both, that at public routable IPs. Pretty standard.
