I am unable to upgrade to 2.7 due to random GW loss (see related post pfSense 2.7 CE randomly drops internet gateway connectivity)
Is there any way to install Packages for version 2.5.2? When attempting to install I receive the following message:
WARNING: Current pkg repository has a new PHP major
version. pfSense should be upgraded before
installing any new package.Is there

You would need an older version of the package. If it’s possible at all, I would assume you’d have to use the pkg command line tool directly. I don’t know if you can specify which version you want to install, I’m a BSD noob. Perhaps you will have to find an archive of the package elsewhere on the internet to install from a file.
I don’t think they leave the old pfsense packages available, I would move to the new version of pfsense.
