Is my WD My Cloud EX2 4TB safe to use?

WD My Cloud EX2 4TB Model: WDBVKW0040JCH

I,ve heard that WD My Cloud had or has some security issue and was wondering if my WD is safe to try to use again, I stopped using it over a year ago and would like to use it again or sell it if it’s not safe. I’m a novice so be nice guys and gals. :smile:
