@LTS_Tom - If I understand correctly, this attack requires Intel TSX to work properly. TSX got introduced with Haswell, but I thought that they screwed up the implementation and then disabled it on most Haswell and some Broadwell systems. That would mean that computers based on Haswell i3/5/7 or Xeon e3 v3 and earlier are safe from this.
Unfortunately, the news reports have been vague on this.
EDIT - okay, so the currently-unmitigated bug is TSX-only, but the recent-microcode-mitigated ones may not be. I haven’t yet delved into how the other exploits (RIDL and Fallout) work.
