Install of Zextras on Ubuntu 24.02

Zextras is off to a bad start with a nice product like the Zimbra mail server which I had going before they cut their open-source version

A step by step predeployment and install on a single server would be awesome, I have been trying for two days to get it up and running with no success, have post for help on the site with not one answer

Never heard of it. Appears to be a Nextcloud alternative. Why not use Nextcloud?

Zextras is the opensource version of Zimbra email server

Open Source Private Digital Workplace | Zextras

This is why I did not go with Zextras, the documentation is not Step by Step and assumes too much and left out steps not everyone is a whiz at linux, would be nice to have a video or atleast documentation that is up to date and command can be cut and pasted, I went with mail cow so far and it was very well written and came up working the first time. I had zimbra when it was open source up and running the first time which surprised me and was awesome

I don’t have any need to use it so not likely I will do a video on it. Also, having poor docs and then having a paid version is probably some “Open Washing” where companies claim to have an open source version only for marketing reasons, not to really support the community.

You can still use Zimbra with some of the rebuilds. I have a Zimbra 10.1 server running for a small club and it works fine.
