I am looking to purchase Asustor Lockerstor 4 gen2 for truenas server

Hi,

Do you think an Asustor Lockerstor 4 gen2 would make a good home Truenas server. with 4 m.2 slot and 4 bay with 2x 2.5 gig and the possibility to add a 10gig port. This hardware look great at first glance.

I am not sure how easy it would be to load TrueNAS on that, not something I have tested.

With the main manufactures of NAS devices, you are unable to load third party operating systems, which maybe the cause in this instance

Looks like there is a supported solution to at least load Debian Linux Center | ASUSTOR NAS

I think I just found the ultimate mini server SSD for TrueNAS or Xcp-ng. Usage for home lab or small business.
