Huntress EDR Installed on TrueNAS

Hello All,

I am evaluating Huntress for my small MSP at this time. I like them a lot and they seem to have some very nice modular expansion options as well. I will be deploying this EDR within my office as well. I have a TrueNAS server I am currently running and I was wondering if anyone has had any success installing Huntress on TrueNAS.

I am unsure if it would make a huge difference as I am unsure if the Huntress EDR on Linux would be able to see files stored on the volumes (SMB Shares) in a meaningful way.

Thanks,

Max Kulik

I wouldn’t think this is supported by truenas.

While Huntress does have an open beta for their Linux version Endpoint Security for Linux Made Simple with Huntress Managed EDR | Huntress

I would not use it on TrueNAS as that would not be that effective. It’s not a traditional AV looking for files that are read/written.

That’s what I was thinking as well. Thanks for the feedback!

They have a Linux installer these days.

They might have a linux installer but not support by truenas.
