How to get Synology NVR Live View on a TV?

How do I get my Surveillance station Live View on a TV like Tom does in his Studio background ?

I need a Live View screen of our camera’s in our lobby, and I need it to work as monkey-proof as possible …

Thanks in advance !

Well if you have monkey’s it’s super easy ! Just get a Raspberry Pi, you could set it up in kiosk mode (google is your friend) or just open a browser point to your Synology streaming application and leave it. I know this as in the past I connected my Raspberry Pi to a TV streaming IP cam feeds from my QNAP.

I know this is not very helpful but…

The ones behind Tom in the studio are ubiquiti ones using a viewport not a Synology device just in case you didn’t know.

Synology has a device for doing that called the Visual Station.

wow, 400 bucks !
that’s more expensive than the NAS itself !

I think I’ll look into the “Raspi Kiosk” thing then …

looking into it now …
but I can’t seem to find a direct URL to point it to the fullscreen live-view on the Synology …
anyone knows ?

You can make a simple live-view-station with a raspberry pi using the rtsp-streams from the cams.

Found a Guide online:

It’s basically just a script in autostart
Have this working 3+ Years now without any issue

I’m sorry I don’t have a synology but surely it has an app to view the camera feeds that is accessible in a browser, it has to. @Yali0n is right the rtsp stream can also be viewed in VLC Media Player it’s not great but might do the job.
