In your video, “How to build Xen Orchestra from Source” Tom instructs the viewer to provision 8 CPU cores. Tom explains that this is to speed up compilation.
Once the software is compiled, would it be ok to re-provision the build server to 1 CPU and 1024 MB of RAM? Or does XO have a runtime need for that many processors and RAM?
With further digging, I may have answered my own question. The XOA is provisioned with 2 vCPU, 2GB RAM and 15 GB of disk. So, I would imagine reprovisioning the XO VM with the same specs, after completing the build, would be fine.
Any valid information contrary to my assumption is very welcome.
It will run fine with only a few CPU’s but it will depend on how many things you have it managing. Add more as needed.
Certainly makes sense. I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you for the reply.
