HA Proxy: Warning Server home_ipvANY/home is DOWN

I am doing a fresh install of pFsense and am working though Tom’s video for setting up HA Proxy again.

I have however done something wrong as when I restart the service (after editing the frontend), I get

[NOTICE] (85154) : haproxy version is 2.8.3-86e043a
[NOTICE] (85154) : path to executable is /usr/local/sbin/haproxy
[WARNING] (85154) : config : Server home_ipvANY/home is DOWN, changed from server-state after a reload. 0 active and 0 backup servers left. 0 sessions active, 0 requeued, 0 remaining in queue.

and my url cannot be reached.

nslookup returns the IP for the frontend address so DNS looks to be good.

There are too many variables and not enough information to give any guidance.

Simply put, HAproxy cannot reach your backend ip/port. And/Or your application you are trying to proxy isn’t configured to allow the proxy address.

Ok, so I uninstalled HA Proxy and started again and now it works. I must have missed something the first time.
