FreeNAS Help: Slow File Explorer

Good day.

I am having problem using FreeNAS in our company. Everytime someone access FreeNAS using file explorer in Windows it took sometime to load, I think 5 mins is the longest time I open a directory in FreeNAS. Our network is running on gigabit speed but still having this problem. Is there a solution for this?

Hardware:
CPU - AMD Phenom™ II X6 1090T Processor (6 cores)
RAM - 8GB RAM
NIC - TP-Link Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter

Thanks in advance

Is it tied to an active directory server?

Nope. We don’t have any active directory in our office.

if you ssh into the system and look at services, is samba using a lot of resources when this happens?

I can access the system via ssh. I don’t know how to look at services status. What command should I type?

You can go in and run htop, it sill show all the process usage and system load.

As I’ve checked, everything is normal in my end. Whenever I access my freenas directory using windows there is not much happening in htop.
