FreeNAS Backup, tape?

So as we (should) all know… RAID is NOT a backup!!!
but nobody ever talks about backing up their FreeNAS servers…

I’m actually wondering if an LTO drive might be a good option.
My freeNAS(s) are in the 60-70TB (Raw) range, each 6-24 spindles.

Comparing the longevity and cost per TB tapes seem like the obvious way to go…

Linus uses one. Other options are cloud services such as BackBlaze or duplicating it to another FreeNAS. (that is what we do)
