Before building my TrueNas, my data was on Rocky 9 using MDADM. I rsync’d all the data to an external drive. Built the TrueNas, now I want to copy the data off the external to the TrueNas. Right now I have it mounted to the TrueNas but not sure if I should create a pool and add it or connect it to a different pc on the network and copy it over. Any thoughts?
Either way will work. I don’t think one will trump the other.
