I watched this last night and completely agree with your points! Keep it simple… I have seen many competitor submissions and the long ones are basically a contract; which to me they are getting ahead of themselves.
Great video! For some larg er companies like ones i have worked for, they generally wont pay until work is complete and invoiced.
When/if you encounter one of these i would assume you would usually pass on the job if you cant negotiate terms in your favor? Or would you handle differently.
Yup, Tom back when I first started in the business ('80s)I would do 2 to 3 page proposals, in spreadsheets. for Novell Networks with average price of $35,000. The third page was terms and acceptance all double spaced. Still do it but all in CRM system. Rule of KISS, over thinking is akin to taking a torpedo amidship.
