That was me in the supermarket cafe getting my OpenVPN connection blocked
I’ve yet to test this, but my theory is they are just blocking UDP traffic.
However, I was curious when setting the Server Mode (on a Remote Access oVPN server) to SSL/TLS + User Auth what does the SSL refer to ?
I’ve already got this mode running with certs, so I’m wondering if I set the Protocol to TCP would it be very difficult to distinguish my traffic compared to normal https traffic ?
If that’s the case is that, all that is needed to bypass the Chinese firewall? I can’t believe it could be that straight forward.
I’m completely out of my depth here and not looking to go up against the Chinese overlords, just curious.
