Clicking Sound on New Mini PC

I purchased a mini PC back in mid-February of this year. Everything went well for a month or so, when suddenly, the PC has begun to exhibit a noticable “clicking” noise. It doesn’t happen all the time, and pops up after I’ve been using the machine for several hours (I use it for remote work). If I reboot the machine, the clicking goes away for a week or so. I don’t think it’s the hard drive, because it’s an m.2 SSD (512GB). I can’t think of anything else that could be clicking inside the small form factor case. I’ve reached out to the company, to no avail. Anyone have an idea what could be causing the clicking noise? I can’t afford for this thing to die on me.

Thanks!

I agree that it shouldn’t be your hard drive since it is an SSD. It has to be a moving part inside the case and my guess would be either the fan for the CPU heatsink or the PSU. Is it possible to remove the case so you can hear it better when it happens?
