Yup, Tom we are in sync about marketing automation. I do email marketing but it is very targeted and is made a personal as I can make it. I pose questions that hopefully will evoke decision makers to question their “pain points” regarding backup and data storage. Keeping focus on my primary practice and delivering useful insights is what I do. I also try to build working alliances with other consultants and MSPs.

My email marketing is low volume but am thinking of using a service to deliver mail that will make keeping track easier but allows fine grained control.

I neglected to add that in person meetups are the best for making contacts and were making a come back in my region the best one just starting, until. What’s the until, the fear porn and mandates by local numnuts politicians. When you meet people face to face it than is much more likely they will respond to your email and follow up phone calls.
