Predatory business practices seem to be the norm in this day and age. Once the VCs see a start up making inroads the big globalists jump in buy up and the first thing to go is support. As examples I offer Datto and now VMware. In a way it is beneficial for guys like me and surely Tom who have alternatives to offer. One of the reasons I like TrueNAS from ixSystems, they are privately owned and don’t have VCs or Investment bankers to answer to.
