I backed 2 x JetKVM devices a could of weeks ago, hopefully will be sent out this month in April sometime.

I bought a GL-RM1 Comet and connect it to my network. There are two major issues.

  1. It’s implementation of NTP floods its default NTP servers upon power up when the clock is not synchronized yet, even if I disable the NTP daemon. It results in the clock never getting synchronized when it exceed NTP request rate limits of the servers.
  1. Even with cloud access disabled, it floods public DNS servers with ICMP pings

I added a firewall rule to block all outbound traffic from the GL-RM1
