Attaching a drive without formatting XCPng

Hello Everyone!

I was recently gifted a used Dell Poweredge R510 and was able to get XCPng installed. I am unable to figure out how to mount/attach 2 drives that contained the actual media (movies, music, etc.). Is there anyway to mount/attach the drives into my new Ubuntu VM without formatting them? They already had an ext4 system from my previous server build (a small mini pc also running ubuntu).

I have all my drives attached to my HBA (In iT mode) and they are all recognized but I cannot create SR on them unless I format them and I’d rather not re-download all my media 8(

Apologies if it’s a dumb/noob question this is my first type-1 Hype. Is it possible to just pass them through to the VM without going through XCPng/Xen or is that inadvisable?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

You’ll have to pass the drive to the VM through xcpng. Tom has some videos on it.

Older but shows the hard drive pass though.
