I have a cheap laptop and I’d like to upgrade from home to Pro and like to find somewhere that can discount it more than the $99 direct from Microsoft price. I know how to find the “questionable” places that sell full keys for $10 and I know how to find scripts to do the same, I need to keep things “correct”.
Does Microsoft do education discounts on upgrades?
This is a personal use laptop, not a company asset.
Anyone here work for or know a microsoft partner that can sell one off upgrades?

That’s still going to be a “grey market” key. (The questionable ones the OP was trying to avoid).
For what it’s worth, I’ve used those “grey market” keys twice now for friends that were on very tight budgets, and it’s been years, no problems.
Read up on that groupon seller, you’ll find that after installing some of the keys you need to call the seller to get an activation code. Does that sound legitimate?
Legitimate manual or phone activation does not need to be performed unless the device has no internet.
There are many sites that will sell you a key for $10 - $15, most of them at least activate online. That said, most of them are also selling things like Enterprise and LTSC, that pretty much means none of their keys are really legitimate for home end users.
My devices go to work, I can’t have a questionable key getting my company in trouble with Microsoft. We’ve gone through an audit before, and it was a mess and cost a bunch of money because people were doing things wrong. Problems like this must not come back to me for any reason.
I haven’t spent much time on this, looks like I’ll probably just buy it through the OS upgrade tool provided for $99usd.
