Alternatives to Sophos SG 310 firewall

I’ve been asked to help a school with 90 users to find a possible alternative to the Sophos firewall license attached to their Sophos SG 310 hardware. It seems a one-year firewall license with Sophos for the SG 310 is around $2,300.

They have been happy with arrangement but is looking for possible alternatives. Any suggestions is appreciated.

I would go with pfsense, but if you need filtering features I would go with Untangle which does have some special pricing for schools Nonprofit Complete | Untangle
