62 TB modules for NAS

Saw this in my inbox, 62TB modules, never come across this before, don’t think it will be cheap anytime soon, not everyone needs two kidneys though !

Just search qnap and all the security issues on the nas software , and now long to fix the issues

Also search for qnap and ransonware,

Qnap nas will not be on my list of nas to purchase

Yeah I know about their issues, now ! My QNAP is behind a firewall so is as secure as anything else I have behind the firewall. If you expose your NAS to the internet that might not be the the best idea whatever the brand. Just like the thought of a 1PB NAS

They don’t make the drive, so in theory you can put a pile of these drives into a Truenas SCALE system and get the same thing. That said, it would probably be more economical to use multiple chassis filled with drives and distribute the pool.
