I am a rough-kneck by history, a software engineer by training, and an IT do-gooder by trade. I run a small family IT/Electronics shop out of my garage. The electronics part came about because my son is getting old enough to use a soldering station by himself and do some pretty interesting things (and he has plenty of ideas!). I’ve always had a knack for computers and started in IT about 25 years ago, ever since then I’ve wanted to run my own business. I finally made it a reality in 2009 with the support of my awesome wife!

I find aviation and astronomy super fascinating and have started to make room in my life for those passions. Though recently I’ve been distracted by learning in the InfoSec/OpSec arena - and now that I have a Hacker1 account, I’ll probably never go outside now! Lol
