I’m a bioengineer. I lead a research team focused on developing interactive scientific visualization software for depicting and analyzing large biomolecular structures such as proteins, nucleic acids, small molecules such as drugs, and large multi-protein complexes such as viruses like SARS-CoV-2. Our software is critically-dependent on underlying secure, robust and high-bandwidth network services. This dependency requires me to pay close attention to the IT networking community and following LTS is a great way to do this.
