Why is CCleaner on your software list?

Educate me or us on why CCLeaner is on your software that you like. All of my research says this has malware attached.

Since avast bought them it’s more like an annoyance to ad to buy extras from Avast. The tool is still useful but we will remove it anyways before Avast makes it worse.

This is another area that’s crying out for a half decent coder to write something FOSS. Doesn’t need to be really complicated, just do a decent quick job of removing crap.
I might need to get that “teach yourself C++ in 28 days” book out again.
