I built a new freenas pool about a month ago: 6x6T WD Reds in lz2. I just checked the serial numbers, and all 6 drives are indeed SMR.

However, it sounds like this SMR issue is only a problem during resilvering. So, as long as I use CMR disks for resilvering, it shouldn’t matter that the existing disks are SMR. Correct?
