I know this is probably an issue with Verizon resetting their network every night but I thought I would ask here as well.
First, as I have mentioned in previous posts, my configuration is actually set up for my pfsense to handle all vlan traffic. I have a “trunk” connection from one of the network ports on the UDR connected directly to my pfsense FW. All VLAN are assigned to that trunk and the pfsense handles all DHCP, routing, DNS and so forth. The WAN port of my UDR is just connected into my internal network and not to my WAN. It has access to the internet for the update messages and so forth.
I was getting the following message even before I changed to this type of setup. I get this every night between 12:30 and 12:50 AM:
“Your primary internet Verizon Fios was temporary disconnected and has been restored.”
I do notice if I am awake and watching TV that I sometime get a spinning wheel on my streaming until the internet is reconnected.
Has anyone else seen this type of behavior?
