Do I have to have a Ubiquity Cloud key to manage an Wifi 7 in wall AP? I am wanting to buy one and trying to figure out if I absolutely need one. I have Raspberry Pi’s that I could run it on.
Have have tried to Google for an answer. Gemini never gave an answer…

All the UnIFi access points and switches require the UniFI network controller. Software Downloads - Ubiquiti
You can run that controller on a Raspberry Pi 5 ( I think the 4 might be too slow) or you could get a Cloud Key that is really just a system pre-loaded with the UniFi controller software. Most of their gateways also have the controller build in so you can adopt the devices to the gateway and no have to have the controller run separately.
You can run a Unifi AP without a controller, Ubiquiti added a mode where you can configure a UniFi AP directly from the UniFi Mobile App without needing a controller at all.
