Hey all,

I am trying to tune the power usage of my TrueNAS CORE server which I built out of a Supermicro board with no settings in pstates or cstates in the BIOS. I can’t see much in the way of power settings at all.

I have read you can use powerd to tune the server in the web gui. Is there documentation for this? Is this sane?

Not something I have ever tried, I assume the FreeBSD kernel has already been optimized.

I have done more to test power use at the wall and I can confirm c states seem to be working really well. Kinda wish I made the switch from a celeron based NAS a while ago.
