I had a TrueNAS build that I put together way back when it was FreeNAS. It seems the CPU failed according to the motherboard beeps. There are two mirrored ZFS drives in it
I would ultimately prefer to not build another TrueNAS machine unless it’s just the best idea.
Is there any other way to read and copy the data using any of my other computers (Windows, Mac OS and Debian). I can’t really install anything on the Mac as it’s a work computer.
I’ve been out of this for quite some time and I feel like a noob again. Any help is appreciated.
I’m going to try booting to Linux from a thumb drive and keeping it as read only.
I would use your Debian box. Install zfsutils-linux plus any required dependencies, connect one of the drives, and import the pool as read only. Mount the data set(s) and rsync the data out to where ever you want it to go. When you are done, export the pool, and remove the drive.

Thanks @Louie1961!
I will let you know how it goes.
It turns out that everything was easier than expected. I simply took the FreeNAS OS drive and the two storage drives out of the failed system and put them in a different machine. It booted right up and I was able to recover all by data.
Apparently, you can swap between Intel and AMD with no problems. Very cool.
