I have the netgate SG-2100 and love it. I have a 2nd ISP that I want to configure for WAN failover. I must be missing something, I have looked all over for a video showing how this can be done and can’t find anything that specifically talks about this setup. I have reset back to factory defaults like 8 times now. I have tried to follow the Netgate steps Configuring the Switch Ports | Netgate Documentation

Both ISP devices need to use DHCP. One is a static IP on T-Mobile and the modem does allow Pass thru and that is turned on. So the Firewall does see the external IP. The other is a Us Cellular modem and it is not static. So both need to be DHCP.
I’m not going to list all of the ways I have tried this so far, but am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to a good video to follow along with. Has anyone out there configured the SG-2100 for wan failover and get it working?
You should be able to go to System/routing, create a gateway group, add both gateways, set priority and conditions to fail over on, such as member down.
I have that part down as I have done this before but not on a Netgate device. It is totally different on a Netgate device than it is running on a PC.
I guess I’m not understanding the whole vlan setup.
Ah, having never actually used one of their devices, but having used open/pf sense in installable form many many times, I did not realize it was different on their HW. Good to know! ( Also a little odd of a choice from them if you ask me 
)
That was my problem, I was adding the 2nd gateway and creating a gateway group before I missed with creating a discrete port. Or at least I think so, I did so many things I can’t remember all the steps I took and redo them over and over…
Anyways I have my wan2 failover setup and it is working as it is meant to.
I just needed that little boost and rethinking things…
