pfSense dashboard not showing my correct public IPV4 address

When i look at the IP addressed to my WAN in the pfSense dashboard it show me 100.64.xx.xx

When I go to any of the assorted IPV4 address checking website it tell me my IPV4 address is 66.115.xx.xx

I’m running pfSense 25.07.1 My ISP is Empire Access and my firewall is connected to the Empires ONT Ethernet port.

Not sure why the different addresses are being displayed. Seems like Empire may be having some issues since they are changed my public/external IPV4 address multiple times today.

Anyone have thoughts on why pfSense is not showing the public IPV4 address and where it might be getting the 100.64.247.xx address to display on the dashboard?

I already powered down both the ONT and the firewall to try to reset both devices.

Thanks, Bob

A 100.64.x.x IP address means your ISP is using CGNAT - Carrier Grade NAT - and that 100.64 IP isn’t really a public IP address. This is common with smaller or newer ISPs because we are out of available public IPv4 blocks, and its expensive to buy blocks off the market. Many ISPs don’t provide public IP addresses unless you contact them for that as an additional service.
