pfSense and UniFi: Moving from One NIC for VLANs to Multiple NICs for VLANs

After feeling a little bored and reading this, I decided to move from using one NIC for all VLANs in pfSense to using multiple NICs for VLANs (why have two NICs just sitting there not doing anything?). It was actually easy to do so:

  1. Adjust the Interface assignments to use the extra NICs:

  1. Assign the VLANs to the desired NICs:

  1. In UniFi, create new switch port profiles to match the VLAN assignments in pfSense (the native VLAN must be the one assigned to the “real” interface):
