Hello! I have been watching the LTS YouTube channel and enjoying the videos! I must have somehow missed their was a forum community! Excited about that.
I was wondering if there is an update on this video. I currently have a Synology DS1513+ it’s on its last legs. I am in the process of shopping for good drives and potentially the DS1821+ However, I haven’t finished my Unifi System at home. In the summer of 2019, I installed 4 APs, Cloud Key, USG, Unifi PoE Switch and put them all into a fancy shmancy rack.
I have been meaning to change the cameras in my home. I have the Ring Doorbell Pro and the Ring Floodlight Camera and an indoor Ring Camera.
Would you recommend Unifi Protect (and which camera)?
Or should I look into what Synology would offer?
The UniFi protect system is ok and has had a lot of updates since this video. Synology is popular because its much more flexible on the camera support
